1. Agreement to Terms
By booking a moving service with Ozona Movers, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all services provided by us, including but not limited to residential, commercial, local, long-distance moving, and storage services.
2. Services Provided
Ozona Movers offers a range of moving services including:
- Local moving services
- Long-distance moving services
- Residential and commercial moving services
- Packing and unpacking services
- Furniture disassembly and reassembly
- Storage solutions
Our services will be provided as per the service agreement discussed and signed between you and Ozona Movers. Any additional services not specified in the contract will be subject to additional charges.
3. Booking and Payments
- Booking Confirmation: Your booking will be confirmed once the reservation deposit (if applicable) has been paid and we confirm availability for your requested date and time.
- Payment Terms: Payment for services is due upon completion of the move, unless otherwise specified in the agreement. Accepted forms of payment include credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, and cash. Payments made by check must clear before the move takes place.
- Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled move will incur no charge. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled move will result in a cancellation fee. In case of long-distance or special moves, a longer cancellation period may apply.
- Estimate and Final Charges: The final moving charges are based on an initial estimate. If the scope of work changes, such as an increase in the amount of items moved or unexpected delays, additional charges may apply.
4. Responsibilities of the Client
- Item Preparation: Clients are responsible for preparing all items for moving, including packing and securing loose items. If packing services are requested, Ozona Movers will handle the packing of items, but fragile or specialty items should be identified and packed by the client or discussed in advance.
- Access to Property: The client must ensure that both the origin and destination properties have appropriate access for the moving truck and personnel. If additional assistance or equipment is needed (e.g., elevators, parking permits), the client is responsible for making necessary arrangements.
- Items Not to Be Moved: Ozona Movers reserves the right to refuse moving certain items, including hazardous materials, flammable liquids, firearms, perishable goods, pets, and any items that are illegal to transport. The client must ensure that all items to be moved are suitable for transport and are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
5. Liability and Insurance
- Damage to Property: Ozona Movers takes the utmost care in handling your belongings, but accidents can happen. We are liable for any damage to items during the move, provided that the damage was caused by our negligence. Claims for damages must be made immediately upon delivery of the items to the new location.
- Insurance Options: Basic liability coverage is included in the cost of the move. However, this coverage is limited. Additional moving insurance may be purchased for higher value items, such as antiques, fine art, or electronics. We recommend purchasing additional insurance if you require full coverage for your items.
- Client’s Responsibility: Clients are responsible for securing all valuable and fragile items. Ozona Movers is not liable for damages to items packed by the client, except for instances of negligence during handling or transport.
6. Delays and Force Majeure
- Delays: While we aim to complete all moves on time, Ozona Movers is not responsible for any delays caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to inclement weather, road conditions, traffic, or mechanical issues.
- Force Majeure: Ozona Movers will not be held liable for delays or failure to perform services due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, strikes, or other events that disrupt our ability to fulfill the moving services.
7. Confidentiality and Privacy
Ozona Movers respects your privacy. We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties without your consent. 8. Termination of Service
- Client Termination: Clients have the right to cancel the service at any time before the move begins, with proper notice as outlined in the Cancellation Policy.
- Company Termination: Ozona Movers reserves the right to terminate any moving contract without notice if the client fails to meet their obligations, engages in fraudulent activity, or makes unreasonable demands.
9. Indemnification
By using Ozona Movers services, the client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Ozona Movers, its employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from the use of our services, except where due to our negligence.
10. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute or claim arising from the use of Ozona Movers services, the client agrees to attempt to resolve the issue through negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it will be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to Terms and Conditions
